activities offered at The Canterbury. There are organized group
activities such as bingo, bridge and canasta. Individual
pursuits include various arts and crafts newspapers, periodicals
and magazines, many in large print. Residents enjoy a variety of
interesting and refreshing outings, wheelchair-accessible
coach-bus brings them in comfort and style. The calendar is also
dotted with special events such as out-door barbecues, concerts,
and evening entertainment. A large screen television in the
spacious
Day Room, and an extensive collection of movies shown on
advanced projection equipment, are also available. At The
Canterbury, there simply is no such thing as a boring day.
Dining
Our dining area, always immaculate and inviting, has a soft,
elegant ambience, where guests can relax in comfort and even
entertain family and friends. Meticulous care is taken to ensure
that the dining experience is a pleasurable one. The chef’s menu
is widely varied and dishes are prepared to sumptuous
perfection. Our culinary director, a veteran dietician, pays
careful attention to individual dietary needs and
creates meals accordingly.
Accommodations are elegant, warm and luxurious. A number of
varying room
decors are available, suitable to individual taste. All rooms
have private baths,
and are individually climate controlled. You’ll notice how every
effort is expended to create a gracious, homelike environment.
Residents can relax in our wheelchair-accessible beautifully
landscaped park. Cozy, comfortable benches nestled along grassy
knolls and clusters of aromatic pine trees offer the perfect
setting for a casual chat with friends while enjoying the sights
and sounds of nature Airy outdoor porches are also a favorite
